How to store salt

Salt is in and of its self a preservative and is best stored:

  • in a dry, cool place
  • far from heat of sunlight
  • in a jar, kept closed after opening

Open the jar only if necessary, so that the salt doesn’t absorb the aromas of other herbs and spices.
Salt is an ingredient that should be used sparingly to bring out the flavors of any dish you prepare.
