CIBUS is one of the four largest food and gastronomy trade fairs in Europe, and Academia Barilla approached it as an occasion to present its philosophy, products and courses to the fair's visitors, food lovers and journalists. The navy blue Academia Barilla stand showed products in glass displays, thereby underlining their preciousness and the richness of Italian gastronomic tradition. Pecorinos and balsamic vinegar shared spotlight with many of the rarest books from the collection of
Academia Barilla Gastronomic Library.
Hundreds of CIBUS visitors took a tour of Academia Barilla which included lessons in extra virgin olive oil tasting, chef's demonstrations of Italian dishes and tasting of Academia Barilla products. In the pastry laboratory or the 16-station practice kitchen, chefs explained not only the unique technological and architectural features of Academia Barilla, but also the meaning of authenticity and regional diversity in the Italian gastronomic heritage.
