  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 oz pine nuts
  • 1 oz sultanas
  • 8 amaretti cookies or macaroons
  • almond milk, to soften the macaroons
  • 1 ¼ oz pistachios, chopped
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 oz sugar
  • ½ cup white wine vinegar
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

20 minutes preparation + 10 minutes cooking

Mix in a bowl the minced meat with the Amaretti biscuits, softened in the almond milk, the egg, the passolina grapes (or raisins), the pine nuts, pistacchios, a pinch of salt, pepper and the cinnamon. Shape the meatballs, fry in the oil, and then, when they have all been fried, put them back into the pan and pour on the caster sugar and vinegar. Stir until the vinegar has completely evaporated and serve.
