Ingredients
- 1 ½ lb orange juice
- 4 lemons, (add the juice to the orange one
- 1 lb sugar
- 1 oz gelatin sheet
- 1 cup Rum
Preparation
15 minutes preparation
Put the isinglass and sugar on the heat to melt, but do not let it boil to avoid it becoming bitter. Pour into a wet mold together with the juice and put in the fridge. Remove from the mold using a hot cloth which will enhance the colour of the blood oranges, and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with slices of orange and strawberries. A variant on this recipe uses mandarin juice instead of the orange juice.
