Put the slices of bread one on top of the other and, using a bread knife, carefully trim off the crust on all four sides. Spread the slices with the mayonnaise, then on top of each put some small slices of Mozzarella and on top of these some small slices of tomato. Season with oregano and salt and lay the canapés on a damp dish towel, leaving them there right up to the moment of serving.
