Ingredients

  • 8 Martin Sec pears
  • 1 bottle Barolo wine
  • sugar
  • clove

Preparation

15 minutes preparation + 1 hour cooking

Wash the pears in their skin leaving the stalk attached, and line them up in a high, wide pan. Sprinkle a generous helping of sugar and cover almost completely with the wine. Add the cloves and put into a moderate oven (350°) for about one hour, until the wine has become a dense syrup. Serve warm.
