- 8 slices stale bread
- 2 ½ oz extra virgin olive oil
- 1 bay leaf
- Pecorino cheese
- salt
Preparation
10 minutes preparation + 15 minutes cooking
Pour into a pot slightly more than 4 cups of lightly salted water, add the oil and the bay leaf and bring to the boil.
After some minutes, add the bread in pieces or cut into slices: boil for a further five or six minutes, then serve, sprinkling the cooked bread with abundant grated Pecorino.
