Ingredients

  • 5 oz all-purpose flour
  • 7 oz cornmeal, fine grain
  • 7 oz cornmeal, coarsely ground
  • 3 ½ oz sugar
  • 5 oz butter
  • ½ oz fresh yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • milk
  • ½ oz elder tree flowers
  • vanilla sugar
  • oil
  • salt

Preparation

20 minutes preparation + 30 minutes cooking

Mix and sieve the three types of flour, add the flowers, salt, sugar, eggs e butter. Add the yeast melted in a little warm milk. Mix well and give the dough a round shape; place it in a bowl covered with a napkin and leave to rise for 1 hour in a warm place. Shape the dough into small buns slightly flattened, about 4 inches in diameter and place them on an oven sheet with some room in between. Sprinkle with a little vanilla sugar and bake at 375° F for 30 minutes.
