Notes: The title page and text of this book are in both Latin and Italian. There is a woodcut print on the preparation of coffee and chocolate on page 2 by Guillaume Massieu (1665-1722), born in Caen, France. He was a Greek professor at the Royal college, translator, theologist and member of the Académie des Inscriptions and the Académie Française, where he took over the position of Jules de Clérambault. There are three documented editions of the book, the last of which was published in Venice in 1805 with the translation by (1782-19th cent.) with the Latin text up front. The new edition came out for the wedding of count Pietro Luigi Vailetti with the noblewoman Regina Boldu.
