The ancient, colourful city of Parma in Emilia Romagna celebrates its producers of Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma. Discover why Shakespeare chose Verona for the setting in Romeo and Juliet as you tour this beautiful, romantic city, with history and art enough to inspire poetry. You’ll taste the highly-regarded wines of the Veneto region like Valpolicella and the sweet Recioto, and sample many different dishes that best represent Veneto cuisine. Take a personalized cooking class in Parma cuisine at the esteemed Academia Barilla center, and learn and taste specialties like Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, balsamic vinegar of Modena, and the Prosciutto di Parma cured meat.

Day 1
Arrive in Verona. Take a guided tour of the city center and see Piazza delle Erbe, the Arena di Verona, and Juliet’s house. Feel the atmosphere of this ancient place as you walk past Dante Alighieri’s statue, over the Adige River, and view the city from a beautiful overlook. For dinner, experience your first taste of traditional Veneto cuisine, which could include dishes from a wide variety of risotto and polenta to the famous Asiago cheese DOP and meat a la peperata.
Day 2
Visit a winery in Valpolicella and have tastings of the local grape varieties and wines of the Veneto region, including Valpolicella and Bardolino wines. Learn about the quality grading system of Italian wines and what it means for this region. Lunch will be a fine selection of typical foods of the Veneto region paired perfectly with wines from the Cantina. After lunch, explore the city of Verona. We are happy to provide you with a list of our favourite restaurants in the city for dinner.
Day 3
Visit another winery that produces the famous, heady, wines of the Veneto region, and learn about Vialone Nano rice production in the Veneto area with a visit to a rice producer. Enjoy a lunch based on this special rice. Depart in the afternoon and arrive in Parma in the evening. Some of our favourite dinner options in the city will be provided for you.
Day 4
Welcome to Academia Barilla. Take a tour of the institute, meet the experts, and learn about the artisanal products of the region. Cook with the professional chefs in a personalised cooking class on Parma cuisine. Eat a late lunch together sampling the food you have prepared. In the evening, taste local wine in the center of Parma and sample Parma products during the Italian evening “happy hour,” or aperitivo.
Day 5
Meet producers of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, balsamic vinegar of Modena, and Prosciutto di Parma cured meat during a gourmet tour of artisan food, learning about their craft and tasting their products. You will discover what the consortia of food producers can accomplish in their quest for quality in production. Lunch will feature these specialties, and we gather for a farewell dinner in Parma.

Verona is 70 miles west of Venice in Italy's Veneto region, local people call Verona Urbs Nobilissima, after Venice, this is the second largest city in the Veneto region. Verona's splendors of renaissance and medieval periods has helped make Verona a top tourist destination. Many tourists who visit Verona are interested in the Romeo and Juliet story that was set here in this region, as Shakespere once said "There is no world without Verona walls", a quote from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Act III, Scene III, this clearly reflects the mysticism, making Verona a prime destination for lovers and tourists.
